Dr. Crystal Ricks

Dr. Crystal Ricks is the Coordinator for Advanced Learning for Calvert County Public Schools. Dr. Ricks began working in Calvert County in 2017. Prior to this assignment, she served with Calvert County Public Schools as an Inclusive Programming Specialist and Special Education teacher at Mount Harmony Elementary. Preceding her appointment in Calvert County, she served as an educator in Georgia for eleven years. Dr. Ricks has served as an Early Childhood and Special Education teacher, Instructional Site Facilitator, Early Intervention Teacher, and Instructional Coach (Middle & Elementary). She received her Bachelor of Science and master's degree from Mercer University and her Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Ricks has extensive experience with School Improvement Plans, Curriculum Design, Instructional Coaching, and Curriculum & Instruction. In addition, she has served on several AdvancED Engagement Reviews (Cognia) in the United States. She serves as an Adjunct Professor with Mercer University.
